Making pizza

Pizza!

…one of our FAVORITE foods.

But homemade pizza is even better!

Becassine decided to try a recipe Marilyn and the family have enjoyed for several months.

Mix the ingredients.

It’s important to cover the dough and let it rise for at least an hour.

it’s time to roll it out.

Marilyn can’t remember where she got the pizza dough recipe from – sorry (I’m sure it’s from one of the many blogs she reads), but here goes:

Pizza Dough Recipe

1 pk dry active yeast or 2 1/4 teaspoons

1 Tablespoon honey

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup 110° F water

2 1/2 cups flour (or a little more depending on how sticky the dough is)

olive oil (to coat the bowl and drizzle on dough)

Dissolve honey in water, add yeast.  Let yeast activate (about 10 minutes), add salt.  Add flour 1 cup at a time.  Start mixing with a wooden spoon, then continue kneading with hands.  Coat bowl with oil and drizzle some on top of dough.  Cover and place in warm spot to rise (at least 1 hour or more).  Roll dough then bake at 425° F until it’s golden.  Add your favorite toppings and place in the oven until cheese melts.  Enjoy!
