I hope everyone had a lovely summer.

I couldn’t believe my eyes.
It was snowing!
None of us watched the news last night,
so we were SURPRISED!
Oh, how we love the white stuff.
Well, you can imagine what happened next.
We bundled up and ran outside to play.
…an entire snow family.
Giggles, laughter, togetherness.
When our pegs were frozen, we went in and warmed up by the fire.
The Bittys wanted to go out again, but Becassine told them they had enough snow fun for one day.
There’s always tomorrow.
Then she served us piping hot coco.
It was an amazing day!
I don’t have pictures to prove it,
so you’re going to have to take my word for it.
Hopefully, next time one of us will remember to charge the camera batteries.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Today, I went with Marilyn and the kids to the ice skating rink.
The kids enjoyed themselves with friends. …lots of red noses, frozen toes and fingers.
My pegs were a bit stiff, but I was determined to glide on the shiny ice.
Well, a wooden doll such as myself must be extremely careful when ice skating with human children.
I have a few bumps and bruises from the experience, but I look forward to having another go at it.
I hope next time one of my sisters will want to join in on the fun.
The ice rink the kids go to has Homeschool Days every Friday (10am – 12pm), $5 including skate rental.
Today, I ran a few errands with Marilyn and the children.
To my delight, we stopped at our local quilt shop, The Round Bobbin.
This quilt shop is filled with the yummiest 1800’s & 1930’s reproduction fabrics (perfect for dresses)
and so much more.
The staff is always friendly and willing to help.
If you are in the area, please stop by.
